I'm a white belt.
A 32 year old PhD student. My wife and I just started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in January, 2010, because she thought it would be a good "couples activity".
That means I'm generally a nerd, and as far as BJJ goes, I'm a total beginner!
If training doesn't kill me, I thought I'd like to have this journal to track my experience...

This was the first flag of Brazilian Republic (1889), used for only four days. Then they adopted the current one, which is pretty much simmilar to the Empire flag, just uglier.
