A little late, but here it is:

Warm-ups

Technique:

1) setup: Break posture down from the guard (pull collar, grab back of neck; get an overhook on opponent’s arm and grab gi);  Hip out to side of overhook - allow pass to other side - push opponent’s arm through guard and apply triangle.

2) omoplata: Opponent blocks triangle by locking arms under your hips - push off opponent’s head and spin to omoplata.

3) sweep: Opponent steps over your head to nullify omoplata - grab stepping leg and sweep opponent forward - take side control.

Roll: 4 x 5 minutes from guard

Class was good — intensity level is getting very manageable.  I rolled well -  I only got tapped once, in a standing collar choke after a scramble.  Escaped mount and had a good sweep or two from the guard.

Thoughts:

1) Definitely noticing some improvement from the simple strategy of trying to survive and escape.

2) Very little offense still, but learning a few escapes has allowed me to roll in a more relaxed way, for longer continuous periods of time.

3) I have to try to attack when I am in a strong position (better than just lying there and striving to hold the good position).
