Great class tonight.

Warm ups (run, push-ups sit-ups and rolls)

Our new warmup drill (from the guard): arm-bar & escape; triangle & escape; choke & escape; sweep to mount (and recover guard); switch.

Technique: sweeps from the half-guard.  (A 3 technique progression - sweep grabbing the foot; escape to rear; sweep to other side after uke pins arm)

Roll: 3 x 5 min. (starting from knees)

I say it was an exceptionally good class, because for the first time ever, I did not want to puke after class! (YEAH!)

I really tried to GO SLOW, and not be aggressive.  I got tapped a few times, but I had some good moments also.

Things I noticed:

1) If you try an arm-bar or triangle and miss it, you can get screwed (so to speak).  These have to be perfected, and should not always be attempted.

2) I don’t have any attacks from the half-guard, and had trouble getting full mount from half guard.

3) I need a rear-naked choke defense.

4) i don’t know what to do when someone stands up in my guard.
